When Freya stumbles upon a lost bear cub in the snow she finds a new friend – but Loki soon grows too big to live in Freya’s little cottage.
And so begins an adventure taking them to the far north in search of Loki’s true home. But Christmas is coming, the nights are cold and dark and there are greedy trolls bent on mischief….

A 50 minute gently interactive play for ages 3+ with live music and songs.

The Yellow Wallpaper 2009

by Charlotte Perkins Gilman adapted by Fiona Ross for Red Dog. Directed by Sue Colverd

In a new adaptation of Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s ‘The Yellow Wallpaper’ Fiona Ross produced a lavish script combining one woman’s increasing despair in triplicate. All three actresses play the same character all on stage at the same time, mirroring and enhancing a woman’s descent into madness. Though the Yellow Wallpaper is a work of fiction, it was based on Gilman’s own experience.

Lazy Pip spends his days arguing with his big sisters and dreaming of being rich. But when his dad divides up his property between his three children, all Pip gets is the stray cat. How can a cat help him make his fortune?

Pip soon discovers that Perdita is no ordinary cat and her quick wit and daring open up all sorts of opportunities. The only problem is whether he will stop being so argumentative and make use of them! But when Perdy meets a boastful shape-changing ogre it threatens to put an end to all her schemes….

The Merry Wives of Windsor 2007

Sir John Falstaff needs money – fast! What better way than to make a rich woman (or maybe two, as a failsafe) fall in love with him?

But, in the words of the colourful Mistress Quickly, he “mistook his erection” and the merry wives he tries to seduce have their own very special way of teaching him a lesson – which includes squashing him in a basket full of dirty washing and throwing him in the River Thames.

Add to this hilarious scenario a jealous husband, a hot tempered French doctor with an imperfect command of English and a beautiful daughter sought after in marriage by three different suitors, mix it up with a liberal dose of mischief and mayhem and the resulting masterpiece is Shakespeare’s “The Merry Wives of Windsor”.

Jocasta Mama by Anne Pearson explores the tragedy that envelopes the lives of the the daughters of Jocasta, who infamously marries her son Oedipus. Returning from the dead Jocasta discovers the full depths of her daughters’ sorrow in this 50 minute drama.
In this new adaptation of The Yellow Wallpaper Fiona Ross produces a lavish script combining one woman’s increasing despair in triplicate. All three actresses play the same character, all on stage at the same time, mirroring and enhancing a woman’s descent into madness. Though the Yellow Wallpaper is a work of fiction, it was based on Gilman’s own experience of post-natal depression and the ‘treatment’ that was forced on her.
